The golden brown needles in Rutilated Quartz are caused by the presence of Rutile or Titanium oxide. Rutilated Quartz is said to be life sustaining and to be capable of restoring a person's vitality and vibrancy. Carrying it or wearing it is also said to encourage an optimistic outlook and to help to conquer fears, anxieties and phobias. It is believed to be useful in alleviating depression and to have the power to soothe dark moods.
Rutilated Quartz is also said to aid the swift transition from one idea to the next and for this reason may be a useful crystal to take into an exam.
In crystal healing Rutilated Quartz is said to encourage tissue regeneration and to stimulate and balance the thyroid. It is also believed to be helpful for treating exhaustion and energy depletion.
